Principal Software Engineer
Location:Shanghai
EMC Solutions Group (ESG) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join its Partner Integration Engineering (PIE) team in China to work on its application integration products. Working with other software engineering team members, including feature domain experts, the candidate is expected to lead the product / feature design, work on the product feature specifications, develop product features, track and fix software bugs in product family and collaborate with quality engineers.
Responsibilities:
Lead development team, ensure project deliverablesPlan new features and enhancement of current productsAuthoring of software requirements and technical specificationsDevelop software product features, develop unit testsReview software change commits in the developer teamDocument software design specificationTrack and fix software bugs in software productsExercise Scrum master role in development teamMentor junior developersCollaborate closely with quality team on defect triage and resolution
Skills and Experience:
6~8 years of experience in software engineering with at least 60% in developmentBachelor or above degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.Good C# or Java programming skills2~3 years of leader role in software engineering team, preferably in a development teamCustomer facing experience is a plusFamiliar with popular UI design technologiesFamiliar with storage technologies is a plusFamiliar with virtualization platforms (VMware) is a plusSolid verbal and written English communication skillsWillingness to take on challenges and learn new technologies
Senior Software Engineer
Location: Shanghai
EMC Solution Group (ESG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Partner Integration Engineering (PIE) team in China to work on its application integration products. Working with other software engineering team members, including feature domain experts, the candidate is expected to read and interpret the product feature specifications, develop product features, track and fix software bugs in product family and collaborate with quality engineers.
Responsibilities: * Deliver product features and enhancement on time with quality * Participate in discussions of planning in new features and enhancement * Review software requirements and technical specifications * Develop software product features, develop unit tests * Review software change commits in the developer team * Document software design specification * Track and fix software bugs in software products * Participate in Scrum process development model and update status * Collaborate closely with quality engineers on defect triage and resolution
Skills and Experience:
* 4~6 years of experience in software engineering with at least 60% in development * Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. * Good C# or Java programming skills * Experience on .NET UI programming is a plus * Familiar with virtualization platforms (VMware) is a plus * Familiar with Flex/ActionScript is a plus * Familiar with distributed source code repository is a plus * Familiar with storage technologies is a plus * Solid verbal and written English communication skills * Willingness to take on challenges and learn new technologies
