Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in solution design meetings and provide feedback, technical insight and directionAnalyze technical risk factors, perform troubleshooting and contingency planningWork with project management team on solution delivery and project updatesBuild Proven Solution project environments, mimicking real customer environments in EMC labsAbility to build a Windows environment to best practices, including applicationUnderstand and build virtualized Microsoft Application environments including Disaster Recovery, Backup, Security, Cloud Management aspectsProvide solution sizing guidance in the form of toolsCreate test plans, execute on test plans and analyze test resultsKeep up to date on Industry technologies and hold technology discussionsCreate solution collateral such as technical whitepapers, demos or technical presentations
Skills:
The effective Senior Solutions Engineer will possess the following skills, knowledge, experience, aptitude, and attitude:Working knowledge and past success in deploying and maintaining Microsoft applications in a virtualized environmentKnowledge in SQL Server or SharePoint? ? Server is highly desirableMicrosoft certification is highly desirableKnowledge and experience in Performance analysis and Application installation and optimizationKnowledge of Storage optimization and considerations for applicationsFamiliarity of Storage Area Networking (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and networkingAdministrative knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMwareAbility to effectively participate in global, cross-functional teams, and drive individual projects to completionClear writing and communication skills are a must, spoke and written English.Shows initiative, positive attitude and the ability to recognize and drive opportunities for the teamExperience 1-3 Years
