请问：如何在SUN E450服务上装ORACLE 8I？

SUN E450服务器没有显示器接口，如何启动Xwindow，要是启动不了怎么安装呢？通过终端可以装吗，如何做？

用虚拟图形终端 EXTRA!X, exced,xwin32等

修改.profile中的display(参数)=10.10.10.101(其它服务器所在的ip地址)

( i use this way to install Oracle 8i)
connect it with a linux machine. type DISPLAY=x.x.x.x:0.0 and export DISPLAY and then install the Oracle.

没有机会接触Solaris Sparc系列，不过试过通过neterm安装oracle 8.0.6 for Solaris x86

E450(asume its ip :1.1.1.1/24),
assume the source machine with X_windows supported ,which ip is 1.1.1.2/24,
from.2,as root user
#telnet 1.1.1.1
#DISPLAY=1.1.1.2:0.0;export DISPLAY
#cd /usr/openwin/bin
#./xhost +
#exit
//now back to your .2 machine;
#su - oracle
$cd /usr/openwin/bin
$./xhost +
$./mnt/runInstaller
